497 research abstracts from across the globe for the International Tamil Conference!
Organized by the International Tamils’ Council, the International Tamil Conference, themed “Classical Tamil and Tamils in the Knowledge-Based World,” is set to take place in Toronto, Canada, from October 15 to October 18, 2026.
For this conference, research papers were requested from Tamil scholars, academics and researchers from all over the world under 5 topics. While the deadline for submitting research abstracts was announced on May 10th, we have received a total of 497 research abstracts from many countries around the world. It is noteworthy that a large number of research abstracts have been sent to us from India and Sri Lanka.
Among these, the largest number of research abstracts were found under the headings “Economics and Culture” and “Tamil History and Lifestyle”. Also, a significant number of research abstracts were found under the headings “Tamil and Knowledge”, “Economic Thought and Lifestyle”, and “Development of North-Eastern Sri Lanka”.
Expert panels for five topics, comprising scholars from many countries around the world, have been formed to select researchers to participate in the conference.
Official notifications regarding the abstract selection process will be sent to the selected researchers recommended by these committees in early July 2026.
Researchers from several countries will be selected to present research papers at this conference.
The International Tamil Federation expresses its heartfelt gratitude to all the global Tamil scholars and researchers who have sent their research abstracts for the conference.
